Sound Design - Microphone Types and EQ

 The difference between dynamic and condenser microphones is that dynamic mics use a diaphragm, voice coil, and magnet to pick up sound waves and convert them into electrical signals. Whereas condenser mics use an electrically-charged diaphragm, which vibrates, and an electrical signal is generated proportional to the sound/vibration.  Microphone directionality is the direction from which a microphone gets its sound. Some microphones can only pick up sound from one direction, while others can pick up sound from all directions. The lavalier microphone is ideal for recording audios like dialogues because of its proximity to the speaker's mouth and the signal-to-noise ratio is optimized. The Camera - Progressive vs Interlaced Scan

Progressive scans are photos or videos that are listed with the letter "p". These would be videos with the resolution of 480p, 720p, or 1080p. Progressive scans display both the even and odd scan lines at the same time.  Interlace scans are photos or videos that are listed with the letter "i". These would be videos with the resolution of 480i or 1080i. Interlaced scans display the even and odd scan lines separately. First the even lines are drawn on screen, and then the odd lines. The two fields combined make up the frame.    Progressive scanning is important because the output much more smoother and realistic than interlaced scanning. Quality is much more clearer because there is no intentional blurring needed in order to cover up the odd and even lines. Chase Sequence

In this film I had a wonderful opportunity to work in a group of some people I knew and some I did not. We all got an opportunity to share our skills (and also show off out very bad acting skills).  We were a little behind on filming because we were waiting on our props, but that waiting period also gave us an opportunity to find locations and rehearse so that we are ready to go which gave us the push to later be on the same level as the rest of the class.  Another problem we had was that there were consistent absences and it was ever so rare that the entire group was present.  We would probably change the pace in which we worked at and also plan shots out in a much better way.
