Camera Movements and Emotion

 - Crane Down: Helps the viewer "fall" into the characters world. It also could help you drop into the scene. 

- Crane Up: Gives the view a feeling of how small the character is or how large the obstacle the character has to face is. 

- Crane High to Low Angle: Makes the character look strong and gives them a feeling of authority or makes them look overpowering/overwhelming. 

- Handheld Camera: Can create a sense of uneasiness or danger. 

- Quick Pan: Can the change the emotional direction of the scene. Can be used to reveal something dangerous or something that the character has to overcome. It also sends the audience in a difference emotional direction. 

- Quick Push In: Creates a feeling of surprise or shock. 

- Slow Dolly In: Can create tension and helps the audience become a bit more intimate with the character in either an uncomfortable way, or in a way where the audience shares the same emotion as the character.

- Slow Dolly Out: Can make the character look emotionally lost and abandoned. It helps the viewer create a sense of empathy and a relationship with the character.  

- Dolly Across: Reveals action or change of the emotional direction of a scene. 

- Glidecam Camera: Makes the scene look more dreamlike and elegant. Keeps at an ease of sorts. 

- Handheld Camera: Makes the scene feel edgy and makes the audience feel stressful. 

- Glidecam 360 Reveal: Gives the audience a sense of peace or calmness before something big or disastrous is about to happen. Makes the audience realize that something big is about to come or about to happen. 

- Zolly: Creates an overwhelming emotional feeling. Gives the viewer an out of body experience, and almost makes them feel like their minds are being blown.
